CBLocals Online Video Magazine
the video magazine is on hold for now. sorry!
Issue 2: Release Date: early 2004
- scenery 2 progress report
- snowboarding!
- other stuff!
Issue 1: Release Date: November 9, 2002
divx 5.02 movie (43mb, length: 9:00)
Skating with Ian Musgrave
Montage Skating
Harry's Knee Injury
Gobblefest 9 interview with Rod Gale
Music - Live from gobblefest 9 (I Was a Spy and Jah Prophets)
What is it?
well, you've seen 411 right? think of a 10-12 minute avi/quicktime video you can download every month or so. but instead of just skating, have snowboarding, bands, shows, and other arts/scene related stuff.
When is it coming out?
hopefully issue one will come out in november, 2002.
How often is it coming out?
should be coming out every 4 weeks, maybe a bit longer, maybe a bit shorter. we'll probably do it every 2 weeks in the summer if a lot of skate filming goes down in '03.
Where do i get it?
you can download it for free from locals (on this page actually) when it comes out.
How do i subscribe?
you don't need to. there's going to be a part of locals where you can freely download the current issue. we're going to really be hyping irc/dcc sending of this, and kazaa sharing because we're going to be leasing bandwidth for hosting the video, and it costs money. if anyone wants to step up and straight up donate 10 gigs/month bandwidth, mail me..
What's it going to be called?
i'm not really sure yet..
What's going to be in if?
not every issue will be like this, but here are some starting out ideas for some of the things you might see..
- profiled skater/snowboarder
- montage skating/snowboarding
- skate spot check
- venue check
- show reviews
- profiled band
- person/band interviews
- drunken dubachery
- any songs/music in an issue will be local
so thinking about a kinda intro montage of various video clips, then welcome to this issue of the vm, then maybe go into an interview and mini part for a featured skater. then go into a band profile or show review.. some outro montage, and that's it.. mix up the parts from video to video, some videos might have 4 or 5 parts, some might have 2 or 3. i'm still trying to figure out what i want to do with it. do you have any ideas?
How are you filming it?
my trusty low end single chip dv camera that i used to film scenery.
I have questions/suggestions
cool, just email harry at harry@cblocals.com
